In Room 222, we combined creativity, learning, and a little bit of nature by building our very own miniature houses! Each student designed a small house using different shapes and colors, helping reinforce our understanding of basic geometry and color recognition in a fun and hands-on way. From bright triangles for rooves to colorful squares and rectangles for walls, the classroom was full of vibrant and imaginative designs.

To make our project even more exciting, we added a science element by placing each house into soil and planting grass seed around it. Students learned that, just like in real life, homes can be surrounded by growing, living landscapes. We talked about what plants need to grow—sunlight, water, and time—and how we will care for our “lawns” in the coming days.

The students were especially enthusiastic about the idea that their houses will soon have real grass growing around them. This activity not only encouraged creativity, but also introduced responsibility as they will help water and observe their plants as they grow. It was a wonderful way to connect art, math, and science into one engaging, ongoing project.

Overall, this was a joyful and enriching experience for everyone. The classroom is now filled with tiny neighborhoods waiting to sprout, and we are all looking forward to watching our little lawns come to life when we return from spring break!
