Welcome to Midland
Midland works with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing a lifetime of caring for individuals with special needs. We’re driven by an overarching goal—to help each individual to be the best they can be.
Accommodating a wide range of disabilities, Midland offers educational, social, employment, and residential support services. Our approach is highly individualized and incorporates a lot of flexibility, with an emphasis on personal choice, self-advocacy, full community inclusion, and self-determination to support each person’s life goals. For more than 60 years, we’ve been successfully helping individuals reach their highest level of personal achievement and independence, while supporting families as they navigate life with a loved one with special needs.

In Room 217, students took part in a friendship-focused activity centered on creating “friendship hearts” while practicing the power of kind words. In Room 219, we discussed many emotions and how to self-regulate. As part of our lesson, we introduced a self-regulation tool: sensory bottles!
