Welcome to Midland

Midland works with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing a lifetime of caring for individuals with special needs. We’re driven by an overarching goal—to help each individual to be the best they can be.

Accommodating a wide range of disabilities, Midland offers educational, social, employment, and residential support services. Our approach is highly individualized and incorporates a lot of flexibility, with an emphasis on personal choice, self-advocacy, full community inclusion, and self-determination to support each person’s life goals. For more than 60 years, we’ve been successfully helping individuals reach their highest level of personal achievement and independence, while supporting families as they navigate life with a loved one with special needs.

What's New

Student Council Makes a Difference with Community Soup Drive

The Midland School Student Council recently led a successful soup can collection to support the local community, highlighting the impact of teamwork and generosity. In February, students created and distributed flyers to staff and families to encourage participation. Thanks to this outreach, the drive collected more than 180 cans of Student Council Makes a Difference with Community Soup Drive

Room 504

Room 504 is dedicated to going out into the community once a month where we can apply all the life skills we are learning at Midland. Part of the Midland’s School vision is to ensure that we are preparing our students with life skills that will help them be as Room 504

Room 209

Students in Room 209 participated in a St. Patrick’s Day themed learning experience designed to support literacy, communication, creativity, and fine motor development. The activity began with a class read-aloud of the story How to Catch a Leprechaun. During the story, students were encouraged to listen carefully and participate in Room 209
