In Room 219, we discussed many emotions and how to self-regulate. As part of our lesson, we introduced a self-regulation tool: sensory bottles! Each student was able to express themselves by choosing different colored glitter and beads to include in their personalized bottle. Students also practiced their pincer grasp as they carefully selected and added beads.

Benefits of Sensory Bottles:
- Calming and Self-Regulation: Sensory bottles help students manage emotions and reduce anxiety by providing visual and tactile stimulation.
- Focus and Attention: Watching the movement and colors in the bottle can improve concentration.
- Sensory Exploration: Students explore textures, colors, and sounds in a safe, controlled way.
- Motor Skills Development: Shaking and manipulating the bottle strengthens fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Emotional Expression: Bottles can represent emotions (e.g., glitter for excitement, blue water for calm) and support emotional awareness.
- Attention to Detail: Observing and creating sensory bottles encourages awareness of cause and effect.
- Calming Transitions: Bottles provide comfort during transitions between activities or when taking a break.
- Interactive Learning: They can be used to explore colors, shapes, patterns, and cause-and-effect in a fun, hands-on way.

Overall, sensory bottles provided an engaging, creative way for students to explore emotions, practice fine motor skills, and develop self-regulation strategies.
