Program Center- The Color RED While learning about the Chinese New Year during program center lessons, we noticed that many things in the Chinese culture are red… the Chinese flag is red, the envelopes filled with money for gifts are red, and the lanterns hung up for festivals are red!

This week’s theme in 212 was all about hibernation and animals that sleep during the winter. Our students participated in fun learning activities all week long related to hibernation. Our current Science unit of study is titled, “The Sun and Earth.” The students were introduced to the unit by their classmate Bryce who volunteered to be the model of the sun, a huge star. Afterwards they learned facts about the sun by viewing a tap and read slide show
