Families, Guardians, and Stakeholders,
I am writing to advise that Midland will be hosting a Parent Information Forum.
This meeting will be held on May 19, 2023, at 7 p.m. in Midland‘s Great Room.
The forum will cover a number of topics including but not limited to:
- A representative from the New Jersey Department of Human Services and Division of Developmental Disabilities will provide an overview of the waiting list and next steps for parents and guardians who are considering placement or self-directed options;
- Discussion related to the end of the Public Health Emergency (PHE) and next steps as we move into a post-pandemic phase;
- The process of Medicaid and the importance of Medicaid redeterminations;
- We will provide an overview of Midland’s five-year housing plan and the future of residential and community supports;
- Discussion of employment and day habilitation and other service options;
