A Day Program Focused on Employment Training and Work Opportunities for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

At Midland, our goal is to help the adults that we serve reach their highest level of achievement and become contributing members of their communities.  Through Midland Employment, we offer adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the training they need to develop skills necessary for the workplace. We also work actively with employers to find appropriate jobs that match the skills of the individuals we support.

Range of Employment Services Offered

Our services are defined by the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS).

For adults who are motivated by earning a paycheck, but require additional skill development, Midland operates an Extended Employment Program through our Patricia Murphy Work Center. As defined by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, it is a Community Rehabilitation Program, or part of a rehabilitation program, engaged in production or service operations for the primary purpose of providing employment combined with rehabilitation services as an interim step in the rehabilitation process.
