MIDLAND ELECTS ANDY NOWACK TO BOARD

The Midland Corporation announced the appointment of Mr. Andy Nowack of Basking Ridge, N.J. to the Midland Board of Trustees, effective November 2021.

Mr. Nowack is the Executive Vice President of Premier Development, a residential real estate development company that specializes in multifamily and single family development and construction.

Mr. Nowack’s involvement began in 2016 with a partnership between Midland and Premier Development to launch Midland’s first apartment complex placement in Hillsborough for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This special needs housing project grew to include other venues and additional apartments in the Midland’s Community Residential Services program.

Prior to his newly appointed Board position, Mr. Nowack has served on The Midland Foundation’s Golf Committee since 2019, leveraging business connections to strengthen the fundraising event and awareness of Midland and its mission.

Mr. Nowack holds a Bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College. In addition to joining the Midland Board of Trustees, Mr. Nowack currently serves as a Trustee on the Central Jersey Housing Resource Center’s Board, is Trustee of Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church, and previously served as a Trustee of the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church.

“Mr. Nowack has clearly been a champion of affordable housing options for people with disabilities,” says Midland President & CEO, Mr. Shawn M. McInerney. “His 25 years of experience and expertise in housing makes him a welcome addition as we look to expand Midland’s residential services program to meet the needs of parents of adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities coupled with the growing demand for affordable and accessible housing.”

“I am honored and excited to join the Midland Board and thank Midland for this opportunity, says Mr. Nowack. “I believe in Midland’s mission and look forward to lending my support to helping the organization position itself for the future.”
