The Midland Foundation
Make an Impact with Midland
Midland relies on the generosity and support of our friends, families, and the greater community to continue to provide life-changing programs and services to our students and adults. The Midland Foundation is responsible for reducing the gap between the funds available and the funds needed to meet Midland’s mission and vision.

Water Bottle Filling Stations
The Arnold A. Schwartz Foundation and the Union Foundation awarded grants to The Midland Foundation to protect the planet and support the health of our students, adults and staff through the installation of water bottle filling stations. This support allowed Midland to purchase and install a total of eight stations — seven in The Midland School building and one at The Patricia Murphy Work Center. These stations, now in use, reduce plastic water bottle waste and provide users with filtered water, keeping everyone healthy and hydrated at Midland. Thank you to The Arnold A. Schwartz Foundation and the Union Foundation for making this possible!
iPads for Our Group Homes
Midland was awarded grants from private foundations to purchase eleven iPads and protective cases to be used by Midland Residential staff for charting of residents’ medical, dental and other personal information. With this portable technology, Group Home and Supervised Apartment Managers can quickly and easily track, access and input data to better ensure the health and safety of each of Midland’s residents. This project helps Midland continue its mission to promote and enhance quality of life and safety for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). For this vital support, we thank these generous supporters for their commitment to those with I/DD.
