Room 215 and Room 222

Rooms 215 and 222 participated in a hands-on art and sensory activity focused on creating pretend ice cream cones using cotton balls, glue, and colored water. First, each student selected a paper cone template and used glue to attach multiple cotton balls to the top, representing scoops of ice cream. Room 215 and Room 222

Room 217

This school year, the students had a great time developing their reading, writing, and math skills through a variety of engaging and interactive activities. During group reading lessons, they participated in shared readings using stories from the Learning Without Tears reading program, each aligned with a letter of the alphabet. Room 217

Room 220

In room 220, the students have been working on identifying and sorting wet and dry food ingredients. To accomplish this goal, they have been working on both matching and sorting activities. There is a dry ingredient measuring cup and a measuring cup with a spout for wet ingredients. Students take Room 220

Room 510

Community Living – School Restaurant Experience Students from Room 510 had a fun and engaging community living lesson during their visit to the school restaurant for snack time. This real-life experience supported the development of both independent/ community living and social-emotional skills in a meaningful and structured setting. Before sitting Room 510

Track & Field Fun: Training for an Inclusive Season of Sports!

This spring, our students are sprinting, jumping, throwing, and rolling into an exciting Track and Field unit that’s all about movement, inclusion, and personal bests! Rooms 222 and 215 are learning about Water and Climate in science this semester. At the start of the semester, students learned how different materials absorb or repel water. Once the students learned how water interacts with different materials, they were introduced to the water cycle. The 222 & 215 Room 215 and Room 222

Wellness Instructional Highlights

The Wellness class is immersed in the digital world. Lessons and academic games are shown on the Smartboard, and follow-up games are on the Active Floor.   Lessons include an introductory song, story, or video.
